Invicta Men's 4796 Pro Diver Offshore Classic Collection Automatic Watch Review

This watch is very dressy while remaining all business. With 1000 ft water resistance, I'll never have to take it off or worry about using it around water. In looks I prefer it over my Swiss Legend diamond throttle. The Invicta blue is gorgeous against the all brushed two-tone case and band. It' man-sized and makes its presence know but is not large or heavy at all.Mine gains a few seconds a day, perfectly acceptable for an automatic watch.A push-button dual deployment clasp would make it perfect.Mine has no foggy crystal problem. However mine was obviously a returned item.It arrived without the plastic wrapping and with scratches on some of the links.Shame on Amazon.com for shipping a watch with signs of use! It's still a keeper and will be my everyday watch.

Product Description:
Tell time like a stylish pro with Invecta's Pro Diver Offshore Classic Collection men's watch. Constructed with a 51-millimeter stainless-steel-and-18-karat-gold-plate case, a navy blue stainless steel bezel with gold-tone accents, and matching stainless-steel-and-18-karat-gold-plate link bracelet with secure safety-fold-over clasp, this flashy watch was built to last. A mineral dial window protects the navy blue dial face, which features light blue Arabic numerals at three, six, nine, and 12 o'clock, as well as green hour indexes and minute and second indexes. In addition, easy-to-read gold Arabic numerals ring the bezel at 10-minute intervals. There is a date calendar at the three o'clock position, and gold-tone watch hands track the time as it flies by. This watch is powered by automatic movement, and is water resistant to 984 feet, making it durable enough for diving and fashionable enough to wear every day.
Pro Diver Collection
Plunge into any horizon using the steadfast guidance of the Invicta Pro Diver. Stylishly classic, internal workings are forged with variations of either Swiss chronograph or 21-jewel automatic movements and willingly navigate in depths up to 300 meters. Built with confident prowess, the fortitude with which these timepieces function makes the Pro Diver the quintessential in performance.
Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.
Automatic Watches

Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.

Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

Invicta Men's 3873 10 Collection Two-Tone Watch Review

Invicta Men's 3873 10 Collection Two-Tone Watch
Average Reviews:

This watch seems well constructed and pretty stylish. The bracelet seems a tiny bit lighter than other Invicta divers, but not by much. The bracelet is very comfortable to wear. The tank has a screw down caseback, so when you get a replacement battery down the road, make sure the caseback is screwed down nice and tight or you will lose the water resistance.

The bracelet links are held in by pushpins. There are directional arrows on the links that can be removed. All you need is a thumbtack with those big plastic tops on them.I used one with a big square top. The tapered part of the thumbtack fits nicely into the pushpin hole. Simply use the thumbtack to push out the pushpin in the direction of the arrow. You should be able to push the pin out enough to simply grasp it with your fingers, or, if it comes out just a tiny bit, use a small pair of pliers to pull the pin out (I use the pliers in my swiss army knife).

If you look at the pushpins, they have one side that splits in two, and the other side is solid. To reinsert the pin, push the solid side through starting on the opposite side of the arrow. You will be going in the opposite direction with regards to the arrow. The pin should slip in very easily. You will have to push fairly hard to seat the pin the final 2mm. Make sure the pin is right in the middle of the link. I've read other reviews of people having difficulty sizing their Invicta bracelets, so I thought I would share what has worked for me.

The face of the watch glows nicely in the dark. The bezel turns easily and has a luminous circle at the top.The blue face, the gold bezel, and the two-tone bracelet really go great together. This would be a solid $200 watch.Considering this Invicta cost $59, I might be ordering 5 more in different colors!!!!!

So far I have not worn any of my other watches since receiving this one a few days ago. I love the unique look and or presence this watch has. As most of the Invicta automatics with the 21 jewel movement it runs a little fast. Which on this watch is not noticeable until a full day has gone by; then when I checked it was 2-3 minutes ahead of my computer clock which is the one I set it to. This watch has a strong durable feel when combined with its look makes it to me a real winner. I also love the manta ray on the dial and the fact that it is 200 meter water resistant. It also has a Cyclops over the date so I am in no need of putting my glasses on to read it...YAY!!! Like a lot of the watches I truly love and write about...get this critter while you can!

Invicta Men's 9310 Pro Diver Collection Swiss Quartz Watch Review

Invicta Men's 9310 Pro Diver Collection Swiss Quartz Watch
Average Reviews:

Upon noticing this watch, I had a friend tell me how envious he was of me - "I guess you need to get your second kid out of the way before you get to buy your `Submariner.'I have been asking my wife if I could get one for years with no luck."Later that day I told him that I liked the Tag he was wearing."Not as nice as yours" was his response (His Tag cost 12 - 15 times what MY "Submariner" cost).

I have only had this watch for several days, so my review is based upon that experience.I hope to update my review a couple of years in the future.I bought it because my ESQ of 9 years was with the repairperson being cleaned, is having some problems, and ESQ discontinued the model.I have owned Pulsar, Timex, Michel Herbelin, and an ESQ 200M diver and my review will compare my impressions against those timepieces, especially the ESQ.

PROs:
Appearance
Movement
Value

CONs:
Tight Bezel
Luminescence
Grinding screw-down crown

First, this is a STUNNING, beautiful watch! It looks better than the photos.Depending upon the light, the color changes from blue to purple to royal blue. The watch case has Invicta engraved on one side and looks elegant. The Invicta logo wings on the back of the second hand look classy.

The crown has a Swiss cross raised on it and is of the screw-down variety. It threads with a grinding, unnatural feel, and I fear it will mis-thread and fail over time.

The bezel is tight and rotates with great reluctance (an apparent Invicta trait).I use the bezel a lot and am disappointed I will be unable to use it much on this watch. The bezel on my ESQ is near perfect, and I am puzzled why Invicta cannot improve this aspect.

The luminescence is disappointing. When exposed to direct, unfiltered sunlight the lume is initially fine but fades within an hour.My ESQ puts it to shame.

The band (brushed silver links with polished gold links) is fine, looks GREAT, and does not pull my arm hair but does not feel as heavy or as high quality as my ESQ's band (I cannot image what the "folded link" bands on lesser Invictas are like).I have read in these reviews that the 23k gold plating comes off rather easily over time.

The movement is Swiss and seems fine. The second hand hits the watch's tick marks much more precisely than my ESQ.

Overall, I believe the watch is a great value.I chose it because I would have had to move to the $400 - $500 price point to find anything else close to what I liked and Amazon offered a free extended warranty.Although I would not have purchased this watch without the extended warranty, I may purchase other Invicta's without it depending upon my experience with this one.

If you like the picture...You'll love this watch! The picture is accurate but still doesn't do justice to how beautiful this watch is.This is the 4th Invicta watch I have purchased through Amazon and is the best one of the 4.I would surmise that this is not the most current Invicta model and that is why Amazon can offer it so cheap. But it is absolutely brand new condition and Amazon offers the 5 year extended warranty.
