(More customer reviews)I've been looking to purchase a SAN III for sometime now and finally decided to take the plunge. I received it today (January 26, 2010) and let me say this is a tank of a watch. I have read several reviews and for the most part they have all been positive. Its not a watch for the faint of heart...this is one big piece of metal...you could literally kill someone with this hardware. I set the date and chronograph, which is quite simple. It has a beautiful black mother of pearl dial and a sturdy metal bracelet but will have to be sized...but that is not a big deal. I also own a U-Boat Flight Deck 50mm CAB all black ionic plate and sometimes I am nervous in wearing it..only because I spent $2800 on it and and don't want to get any scratches/scrapes on it. Its a big watch too, but I get numerous compliments on it and people who know about them appreciate the detail and exceptional build quality. They are gaining popularity and are equivalent to Panerai and share a similar lineage. We shall see how the SAN III holds up over time, but first impressions are WOW!! I may look into getting a rubber strap with metal inserts to get rid of some of the weight if its available for this model. Keep you all posted as to its performance. I know I will never be found at 1600 feet of water, but I appreciate the fact that if I ever choose to be way down there, my SAN III will still be telling me the time. I would recommend this watch to anyone who loves and enjoys wearing a large watch, and people are sure to ask you about it. It has a suggested MSRP of $1995, but I am not sure just how applicable that is. Having said that, the final purchase price for me was $553 with shipping/handling and duty. I believe this to be a very fair price for a watch of this build and quality.

Subaqua Collection
Led with expert engineering, and always ready to face the depths, no feat or occasion will ever be too great for Invicta's Subaqua to handle. The sheer magnitude of this mighty timepiece is superbly executed with surgical-grade solid stainless steel, Swiss automatic movements, and multiple color options of ionic plating. Managing up to 500 meters of water, finished off with a unidirectional rotating bezel, integrated shock resistance, and Invicta's luminous Tritnite hands, the Subaqua is the diver's definitive in negotiating any adventure by sea or by land.
Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.
