(More customer reviews)I had lost 2 rather expensive watches, and so decided to stick with 2 watches, one for dress occasions and one for daily rough use.

I found this watch on clearance at Loehmann's (3rd and La Cienega, LA), with my membership 10% discount and taxes, the price was $51 and change.

Its a heavy watch, has a nice solid feel to it. Very very pimp, the face is shiny blue, which I don't mind. But the strap has this chased design, which is a bit too much for my liking. Concerned, that it might hold grime in the long run.

Its ideal for a stock broker - car salesman kinda guy. Not really for me, but hey, it was cheap and it was the best I could find in the beginning of February, after the shoppers had cleared out the racks from the "after new years" sale.

Pros' :
1) Nice heavy feel
2) Flame Fusion crystal glass : it is a sapphire compound which reduces scratches on the glass. NOT as good as sapphire crystal glass as on Swiss watches. But hey, for a $50 watch, that's better than just plain glass.
3) Nice face, phosphorescent dial and hands, clearly visible day and date.
4) Easy to change time, day and date. Most watches require you to jump through hoops to do that. This watch is a no-brainer.
5) Dirt cheap

Cons :
1) Chased design on strap. Bit cheesy, and may hold grime in the long run.
2) That weird rotating dial on the rim of the face, with 0, 10, 20...50, 0. I have no idea what it is used for and it just looks cheesy and gives the watch a BIG face. Hate that.
3) Strap lock is double, meaning you snap it, then there is a small part that you gotta close on top of it. I prefer a single snap lock. Also, this one is kinda "hard", it cut my finger when opening it. I am concerned that if I am trying to wear / take it off after a night of partying, I might not even realize the smaller snap is already on, and try to close the larger snap, and thus damage the locking system.

Overall:

I am not overly fond of it, but that's the intent of this watch. A daily rough use, inexpensive watch. I have my Baume Mercier for special occasions, but this one works fine otherwise, and I wont care much if it gets damaged or lost.

But of course, if you are a stock broker / car salesman or that type, go for this for your "special occasion" watch. It is pimp. LOL.
