Potential buyers should know that Rolex is VERY aggressive about prohibiting the sale of their watches over the internet and through other non-authorized avenues. Rolex does not discount, nor do they allow their AD's to discount, especially on their "base" models: Submariner, Explorer, GMT, and Sea Dweller. Consequently, many grey-market dealers do not deal in Rolexes, or they smudge the serial numbers to hide the source of the watches. Do not buy from such dealers; not only is the origin of the watch dubious, but Rolex will not service watches bought from non-traditional sources. Customers should also be on the lookout for high-grade fakes, some even using discarded parts from real Rolex watches.

I noticed that there is a Rolex Submariner being advertised on Amazon for more than its present retail price. While I have full confidence that sellers operating through Amazon are honest and legitimate, I encourage potential buyers to learn about the brand, the dealer and the history of the watch. When you're spending thousands on a watch, you're buying something more than a wrist ornament. You're buying an image, but more importantly, you're buying a fine piece of enginering made manifest in the watch's movement. Educate yourself about the watch and its legacy--you're buying into history.

(More customer reviews)At 52mm this is big and thick, nice and heavy(7oz.)but yet surprisingly comfortable to wear. I got so used to the size and the feel of it that now it is hard for me to wear normal sized watches. I got the 45mm Oceanaut that I ordered yesterday and it looked so small to me. Before I had the S1 a 45mm would have been huge.

I love the black rubber and stainless steel combo. It's a very unique design. Nothing else out there to compare it to. I would describe it as a cross between a G-Shock and a Russian Diver watch. This watch is definetly for the brave. At work I got mixed reactions on this watch, but the more I wear it the more it grew on my co-workers now they all love it. (The CEO ordered one.)

I had to get used to the screws as dial markers but that's my only complaint. In my opinion this is the best watch that Invicta has. The quality and the craftsmanship is top notch. Needless to say this is my favorite watch. I am going to order the rosetone version next month. Hopefully in the future they make an automatic version.

Chuck Norris riding into the Super Bowl on the back of Godzilla and round house kicking the crowd is no where near as awesome as this priceless poon magnet. When I was just moments from sending my $100k to some needy neo-hippie help group, I stumbled onto this gem. It was like the heavens opened and Jesus himself appeared with this same watch on. I mean how can you not follow Jesus when he's rocking a watch of this caliber. So I asked "What would Jesus do?" Jesus pimp smacked me and said "Forget those hippies, buy the watch!" I was like "HECK YEAH." I busted out my Discover card and bought this rocking piece of art. I mean its art but its also practical too. Like when I take my summer trips to the Marianas Trench, I have no more worries that I am going to miss Tea Time back on the yacht, because water ruined my watch again. It can withstand the immense pressures of the deep due to the wicked awesome titanium. Deep seas, cant beat this. Bullets cant beat this. Heck, I can deflect cruise missiles and the apocalypse. With a watch like this you don't need to tell time, you tell people what time it is.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this watch from Amazon and it arrived before the estimated delivery date. I love the watch, and it looks much better in person than in pictures on the web. Quality is very good and the hands line up perfectly. The luminova is evenly applied and lasts longer, actually all the way through the night, which I didn't think would be the case. The only feature I don't like is the canvas band, which I found uncomfortable.I'm sure it's fine for others, but still a black leather band for less than (...)(any jewelry store or online store) compliments the watch very well, and it no longer looks like a 'weekend watch'.One small point about the Eco-drive that some other reviews I've read overlooked: Citizen Eco-drive models DO have a battery.The solar cell stores energy in a rechargeable mangenese-titanium battery.The battery should last a very long time according to Citizen engineers who project that even after 20 years the battery should retain 80% of recharge capacity (on their website), but only time will tell... no pun intended.Speaking of time, the watch is pretty accurate.I've had the watch for one month and during that time it has lost less than one second when compared to the US national time (www.nist.gov).In sum: this is a very well constructed watch that I feel is worth the money.

To set the time *(refer to full-setting instructions here: Manual ):

Stop the second hand by pulling the crown out to the 2nd click (time setting position).
Turn the crown to set the time.
The watch will start after the crown is firmly pushed back into its normal position

To set the Calendar*:

Pull the crown out to the first click (calendar setting position).
Set the desired date by turning the crown counterclockwise.
Set the desired day of the week by turning the crown clockwise.
After you have set the calendar, be sure to press the crown back to its normal position

*Do not adjust the calendar when the watch is reading between 9:00 pm and 4:00 am, otherwise the movement may become damaged and the calendar may not change correctly
